Minecraft’s Potion of Weakness

There are lots of exciting aspects to Minecraft that you can add to your list as you move through the cleverly designed, animated landscape.  One of them is a strong mixture that is aptly called the Potion of Weakness.  When you access the weakening blend, you can drink it virtually and it gives you a magical weakening effect that you use to reduce the potential of damage.

Potion of Weakness Minecraft – It’s Short but Effective!

While it only lasts for 1 minute and 30 seconds, it is a highly effective tool that gives you a short window of time to progress even further than before, so it is only temporary.  Most importantly, the blend reduces the amount of damage an attacker receives from melee attacks.  The higher the effect, the less damage there is.

How to Prepare Minecraft’s Potion of Weakness

Minecraft’s Potion of Weakness is prepared at what’s called a virtual brewing station in the game.  To gain access to it, you must complete a series of steps in the game and collect object.  All you need is a selection of water bottles and to harness certain things so you can prepare the blend.  You can make it even stronger by adding powerful gunpowder to it, turning it into a Splash variant and use this to cure villagers. 

Here’s how to brew a Potion of Weakness and it’s different to any other recipe on Minecraft. It only takes around 3 minutes for experienced players but if it’s your first attempt, it might take you a little longer to master it.

What You Need to Brew a Splash Potion of Weakness in Minecraft

1. You need to find the right pieces for the preparation.  These are Blaze Powder (this can be found from blazes), a water bottle (these are made of glass, and you can find them in drops, or already crafted – once you’ve got your bottle, fill it with water) and add a rather gruesome sounding Fermented Spider Eye (this is a mix of Sugar, Brown Mushroom and the unpleasant sounding Spider Eye).
2. Once you have the above elements, simply add them to a Brewing Stand and this starts the mixing process.
3. Add explosive Gunpowder.
4. Next, you need to brew your mixture.  Once this is done, place one of your water bottles in the Brewing Stand and it becomes your special weakening blend.
5. Next, take a Golden Apple and use your mixture by hurling it at perpetrators to make villagers well.

Those are the steps to preparing this powerful potion of weakness Minecraft.  This mixture gives you extra time to complete steps and avoid damage by attackers – but beware, you’ve only got one and a half minutes before this potent concoction wears off!
